Cannabis Cup 1991 – The 4th Awards. November 1991 – Amsterdam, The Netherlands
1991 – ‘The 4th High Times Cannabis Cup’. Brought back to a single award category, the fourth High Times Cannabis Cup turned into a ‘coffeeshop crawl’ after many seed companies went underground and refused to enter. Amsterdam coffeeshops Bluebird, Free City, La Tertullia, and The Hustler submitted their varieties, with Free City ultimately winning the award.
The judges included Dutch Beatnik poet Simon Vinkenoog and cannabis activist Rodger Belknap, who resigned after complaining about mediocre samples, adding that he realized none of the marijuana strains deserved the title.
