2nd Phuket Cannabis Cup 2023 – ภูเก็ตกัญชาคัพ ครั้งที่ 2
The second Phuket Cannabis Cup was held on the 1st and 2nd of December at The Blue Tree Water Park in Amphoe Thalang, Phuket, Thailand.
Organized by the Phuket Cannabis Association at Kata Beach, this award aims to unite enthusiasts and experts to share insights and establish industry benchmarks for Thailand’s emerging cannabis sector. Despite legal uncertainties regarding recreational use, the industry has flourished nationwide, with retail outlets emerging in urban centers.
During the event, an international panel of judges assessed different cannabis strains based on appearance, THC levels, terpenes, flavor, and genetic profiles.

Ativat Janmuangthai, a cannabis enthusiast from Phuket, earned the esteemed title of the “fastest joint-roller” in the region. Demonstrating remarkable skill, Janmuangthai expertly rolled a flawless one-gram joint in a mere 43 seconds, surpassing fellow roll-your-own aficionados. His friend Saksorn Sotornkittirat remarked: “Janmuangthai has been rolling joints for five years and is even able to do it blindfolded.”
In recognition of his achievement, the winner, was awarded a trophy, the coveted title, and a cash prize of 5,000 baht.
